In 1420, Bohemian peasants and laborers defeat an army assembled by Pope Martin V to crusade against heretics living in the region.
England and France are joined under one crown when King Henry V of England signs a peace treaty with Philippe, Duke of Burgundy, in 1420.
In 1421, Yung Lo, the Emperor of China, moves his capital from Nanjing to Beijing while attempting to reform local governments. In the same year, he sends the maritime explorer Cheng Ho on a fifth expedition.
Portugal's Prince Henry the Navigator and Europe's top pilots, cartographers, astronomers, instrument makers, and intellectuals pioneer the science of navigation.
