IBM technical references define the *product name* of their original VGA display board as "Video Graphics Array", in contrast to the preceding boards, the "[[Computer Dictionary/Color Graphics Adapter|Color Graphics Adapter]]" (CGA) and "Enhanced Graphics Adapter" (EGA).
